Online webinars

Building a global scientific audience

With an inaugural talk by Nobel laureate Prof. Martin Chalfie, in 2017 we started an online seminar series in collaboration with the Sudanese Researchers Foundation (SRF). This webinar series aims to bring together academic speakers in different disciplines with university students and young researchers in Africa through moderated, interactive webinars that will later be archived on YouTube. In 2019, we teamed up with the Society of African Neuroscientists (SONA) to host another webinar series focusing on Neuroscience which is now part of the Worldwide Neuro initiative, an effort to make neuroscience more accessible globally. Since 2020 our webinars are also streamed through Worldwide Neuro.

Can I help?

We are always looking for interesting and engaging speakers.

In particular, we are currently looking for scientists who are willing to give online seminars and workshops on scientific writing, grant writing and statistical analysis.
